YOGA at The shanti space

Qualifications: Pranayama Meditation and Hatha Yoga Teacher (RYT 200); Restorative Yoga Teacher; Rainbow Kids Yoga Teacher; Osho Meditation Facilitator and Reiki Master.

Through a gentle Restorative Hatha Yoga practice and in guided meditations Jessica seeks to balance the integrity of the Yin (Feminine) and Yang (Masculine) natures within us. In order to nurture more balance in our more Yang environment of modern society; her focus is on the more receptive, nurturing and passive Yin aspect. 

The Yin qualities of this practice create deeper relaxation allowing the body to naturally restore itself. Ample periods of holding postures enable feelings of resistance to be released and stretch out tightness as we surrender to the teachings of the breath.

Jessica's gift is to gently encourage students to go within their being, bring them closer to themselves while empowering the physical body through gentle fluid movements. By taking care of the body, opening and releasing tension, the practice is designed to bring about well-being.

Formerly in corporate, in 2011 Jessica decided to engage more with yoga while connecting with various healing modalities from indigenous shamanism to modern psychotherapy. She's worked, trained and traveled all over the world.

With a background in Hatha, Ashtanga and Restorative Yoga her practice cultivates awareness of the formless; the breath, the energy channels and the fluctuations of the mind and emotions to restore balance and presence while gently guiding our bodies to stretch beyond our limited perceptions of possibility and release the build up of tension.
