KIDS YOGA - wild hearts
WILD HEARTS invites children to come closer to nature, themselves and one another through yoga, mindfulness and play as we venture through our imaginations and nurture empathy, expression and heartful courageous kindness!
Jessica shares beautiful Children's Yoga classes that teach children meditation, connecting with feelings and deepening their relationship with nature and one another in a fun and dynamic way.
Wild Hearts take children into the animal kingdom, to learn of creatures on land, in water and in the sky, exploring how their lives might be expressed through the instrument of their bodies.
Cultivating gratitude, compassion and empathy for the natural world we explore the elements - Earth, Air, Fire, Water - and how their qualities exist in the world around us.
Wild Hearts creates a safe space for both calm and wild energy to happen, encouraging expression and exploration while teaching children to centre their energies and breathe.
Why Wild Hearts?
Children and Nature go together. Recent studies document the importance of introducing children to the natural world, beginning in the early years. Their social, emotional, and physical health depends on this exposure to develop. Humans are hardwired to need nature—because we are part of it.
Meditation techniques for children help them relax and focus better, so that they can concentrate and remember more effectively. From a spiritual perspective, good meditation techniques teach children awareness, encourage them to be themselves, and help them face life with greater belief in their potential.
Being surrounded by nature and natural items provides infinite benefits to children. Nature instills in everyone a sense of beauty and calmness. It exposes us to things that are alive and growing and promotes curiosity and exploration.
With an adult as a guide, children can learn about being gentle, kind and respecting of living things. Self-esteem can thrive outdoors because nature doesn’t judge; Nature is Being.

"Jessica captured and inspired the children with her gentle calm approach and magical stories, taking them on a voyage of self reflection. They adored the experience of meditation and felt truly uplifted by the whole experience. Thank you, Jessica. They learned so much about spirituality because of you and you helped them to become kinder to each other and the world."
- Jemma Tookey // Teacher, Yeo Valley Primary School (UK)
"How to say it? . . . . Jessica connected so gracefully and quickly and joyfully with my students—like throwing the windows open and letting in warm spring air. She invited them to be dreamers and, without a moment’s hesitation, they knew they were, and we were all off on a dreaming spree together. Focused, organized, playful, and loving, she created a space for them to be and celebrate themselves, a time to look inward, to tap wonder, and the structure to bring that into their own lives in a way that struck the core of their eleven-year-old selves. Grace in motion."
- Jeffrey Harlan // Teacher Agnes Irwin School (USA)
