DEPOSIT BOOKING TERMS FOR RETREAT LEADERS

  • Your retreat is reserved once we receive the deposit. We are not responsible for any bank fees.

  • Your deposit is non-refundable under any circumstance.

  • We are able to transfer your deposit to another part of the same season only if the change is made at least 90 days in advance of your originally booked dates and is subject to availability and at our discretion.

  • Final Payment received within 45 days is non-refundable

  • Retreat Leaders are responsible for keeping the Retreat Leader Sheet up to date, to ensure room configurations are clear (twin / king) & payments due are correct.

  • Any cancellations or reductions on amount of rooms blocked initially must be informed within a week before the retreat, otherwise the full amount of the rooms blocked will be charged.

  • The remaining balance for accommodation, after any adjustments made, must be paid prior to the commencement of the retreat.

  • When completing ‘Final Payment’, please email confirmation of bank transfer with a copy / reference your name.

  • The retreat organiser takes full responsibility for the bookings of their group. The prices listed in the accommodation section are the price per person per night. It is the responsibility of the organiser to meet the price per person, and to organise the allocation of beds to guests.

  • We quote for a minimum amount of people in twin share accommodation as that is the minimum to reserve the whole venue and will be amount even with less attendees.

  • We charge a €15 fee for any external guests / day visitors for use of our facilities. Please communicate these intentions with us in advance so we can appropriately manage.

Travel

  • The Shanti Space are not responsible for the loss or damage to any belongings while on a retreat or while guests are traveling to or from our retreat centre. We are not responsible for any problems guests encounter while they are traveling to and from our retreat venue, including problem with flights, immigration or any other matter. It is guests responsibility to ensure they have the correct visas, travel documentation and that they are legally able to enter the country where the retreat is taking place. All flights and flying arrangements are the responsibility of Retreat Leaders and their guests.

On Site

  • Your guests staying at The Shanti Space will have free access to the following; wi-fi, use of our garden and public spaces, towels (not for beach use).

  • The retreat organiser does not have the right to re-arrange the layout, style or décor of our rooms without permission. If there are any special requirements, they should be outlined to us in advance or requested.

  • We require a €500 damage deposit that is returned at the end of the retreat. Any damage to our property during your retreat must be compensated for by the retreat organiser.

Booking Cancellation / Refunds

  • The Shanti Space reserves the right to cancel bookings in exceptional and rare circumstances, such as circumstances that arise beyond its control. While The Shanti Space will give as much notice as possible it cannot be held responsible for any loss incurred from such cancellations. In these circumstances, the limit of The Shanti Space’s liability will be to refund any payments made for the Hiring period that has been cancelled. The Hirer is advised to have insurance in place to cover this unlikely possibility.

  • We can not absorb fluctuations in the exchange rate between your payment date and the date we refund you.

  • No refunds or credits for guests failure to attend or failure to complete the retreat, or for arriving late or leaving early. Exceptions cannot be made for any reason, including weather, injury/illness, or personal emergencies.

  • The Shanti Space does not accept liability for cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, terrorist actions or threats, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, technical problems to transport, staff cancellations, unforeseen changes in guests personal circumstances or other events beyond our control.

COVID-19

  • If due to COVID-19 related legal restrictions the retreat cannot go ahead with compulsory restriction / legal prevention of travel in place, we offer a 50% refund on the deposit or the opportunity to reschedule free of charge if the change is made at least 60 days in advance.

  • In light of the current global climate, if the retreat cannot go ahead due to COVID-19 related legal restrictions, with compulsory restriction / legal prevention of travel in place we offer a refund for the final payment minus a 20% administration fee.

  • No refund will be made if guests are unable to attend due to testing positive for COVID-19. It is guests responsibility to make sure they keep safe in the lead up to coming, during travel and time here.

  • It is your responsibility to read and understand our cancellation policy before booking.
